FAQ

Q: Can I submit my abstract already been presented elsewhere?

A: Yes, but per copyright law, you cannot publish it in our proceedings if it is already published in another journal or index. You may present it, but it will not be published in our Conference Proceedings.

Q: Can I update my results after submission?

A: Once submitted, the abstract is final for publication purposes. However, you are encouraged to present your most recent data/findings during your live session.

Q: My supervisor is not aware that I am submitting my abstract to ICSI. Can I still submit?

A: No. If the presenter author is an undergraduate, all abstracts must be reviewed by your supervisor, who must also be listed as a co-author. Graduate students are exempt from this requirement and may submit without a supervisor.

Q: I have recently obtained new results that update my findings; can I modify my submitted abstract?

A: To maintain the integrity of the peer-review process, abstracts are considered final upon submission, and no further edits can be made to the text intended for publication. However, ICSI recognizes the fast-paced nature of medical research. If your work is accepted, you are encouraged to supplement your live oral or poster presentation with your most recent data. Please note that these updates will be for the live audience's benefit only; the official conference proceedings will feature the original abstract as evaluated by our reviewers.

Q: I have more abstract authors than the submission form allows. How can I include all authors?

A: If your abstract includes more than five authors, please email info@icsiconference.com with your full name and the complete title of your abstract. In your message, include a list of all authors with their first name, middle initial (if applicable), surname, and affiliation. Please clearly indicate the most senior author as the corresponding author.

Q: Who is considered the senior author?

A: The senior author is typically your supervisor. If you choose to submit your abstract for publication in the conference proceedings, the senior author will be listed in the publication. Please note that all conference-related correspondence will be sent to the Lead/Corresponding Author. The senior author designation is used solely for abstract publication purposes.
